The customer was looking to rationalize cost of data infrastructure with multiple technology toolset for integration, analysis and business intelligence. Customer was also looking for a partner to provide guidance on cloud modernization for data assets. With each department with their tool of choice, Accelerant was hired to provide technology portfolio rationalization, change management strategy, cost projection, and execution timeline.
The Solution
Accelerant partnered with the customer’s IT department to map each tool set to business value. Accelerant identified each user facing business intelligence tool set, examined overlapping business use cases.
1. Accelerant created a uniform set of parameters for each user facing tool set and evaluated technical capability and business criticality of each tool.
2. Data harmonization tools were evaluated on each of use, speed to delivery and existing in-house IT resource skillset.
